Cortland County Health Department has renewed its partnership with First Transit to provide school route transportation for children with special needs in the City of Cortland (New York) and the surrounding areas of Marathon, Cincinnatus, Willet, Truxton, Homer, Hartford, Preble, McGraw and Freeville. This new, 2-year contract begins July 1, 2013.
General Manager Sara Holl commented, "Our vision at First Transit is all about keeping people moving and communities prospering, so we consider it an honor that Cortland parents, many of whom ride our Cortland Transit fixed routes, entrust us with the safety of the most precious members of our community."
First Transit has served Cortland Transit since 2003, presently managing a fleet of 25 buses and 28 employees.
