D-Brake's Liquid-Cooled Driveline Braking (LCDB) System is designed to improve the brake life, driveability and safety of heavily loaded mid-size trucks. A supplemental retarder that fits right into the driveline without any modification, the system uses the truck's engine cooling system to operate at low temperatures for less brake fade for more braking efficiently. By keeping service brakes cool, the LCDB System increases driveability by reducing the force required on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, says the company. Because the brakes are used less often, the life of brake pads and rotors are extended.
