Jim Samocki

Jim Samocki is the general manager of Doran Manufacturing, a company that has been involved with tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) since 2001 and introduced the Doran 360 TPMS for trucks and trailers in 2008 (www.doranmfg.com). It has been manufacturing and supplying other high quality transportation safety products for more than 35 years, including LED and incandescent Exterior Light Monitors, Sleeping Child Checks, Emergency Exit Monitors, a full range of LED lighting products to the school bus market and customized electric terminals and terminal boards.

Direct TPMS, such as the Doran 360 series, uses pressure sensors located on each wheel's valve stems to directly measure the pressure in each tire. These sensors broadcast pressure data via a wireless radio frequency transmitter to a central receiver where the data is analyzed and the results sent to a display mounted inside the vehicle.
