VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 127 - Aging Out Of Industry Talent

March 13, 2017
Craig Kruckeberg, Minimizer CEO, discusses initiatives aimed at reducing two trucking industry issues: talent aging out and not enough new people coming in.

A big problem within the trucking industry is that its talent is aging out. At the same time, the industry is not a particularly appealing career to those entering the work force.

So says Craig Kruckeberg, CEO and chief visionary at Minimizer, It is a leader in poly semi truck fenders, and a manufacturer of light kits, mud flaps, toolboxes, work benches, custom molded floor mats and other accessories.

Because the industry is viewed by many as being ‘dry,’ Kruckeberg says interest needs to be created to get people to think about it for career opportunities, and his company has an initiative to do just that.

I asked him to explain how the Bandit Big Rig racing series operates.

The racing series is also a way to help improve vehicle safety.
