With economic uncertainty on the horizon, it’s important to ensure that shops and fleets are getting paid at pace with the market, even if that means charging more than in previous years.
“[Shops are] doing great work, but they feel bad charging their customers more,” said Fullbay Executive Chair and Founder Jacob Findlay while explaining the digital platform’s second annual State of Heavy-Duty Repair Industry Report. “And maybe they gave some incremental increases to their technicians, but they're not thinking necessarily in terms of fair change value.”
However, raising prices doesn’t have to be a hassle for customers who understand the value of the work they’re getting, and Fullbay has now upgraded their payment processing features on their platform to make navigating financials even easier. Now, Fullbay Payments can accept fleet checks and fleet cards through a singular platform which is included with a standard Fullbay subscription. This web portal allows users to manage transactions and their payment history while also providing features such as fund verification to eliminate chargebacks.
Powered via RoadSync, Fullbay Payments allows users to access a credit card terminal once they apply through the application which automatically sends their payments to QuickBooks. Furthermore, the system can accept and manage credit cards and ACH transactions along with fleet checks and cards. The platform can also work with WEX, EFS, TCheck, Comdata, and U.S. Bank for fleet accounts.
“This is an important development for the future of heavy-duty repair software,” said Patrick McKittrick, CEO, Fullbay. “Fullbay is constantly innovating to provide the best solution for commercial maintenance operations and this allows us to ensure fleet payment collection and processing is frictionless. We see this as a big win for Fullbay Payments customers and also for the evolution of the heavy-duty repair industry.”
Ultimately, the goal of Fullbay Payments is to streamline the payment process for fleets and their customers with greater versatility for payment types, allowing shops to charge what they need to stay afloat in uncertain times.
