SAN ANTONIO—The weather may have been mild in Texas, and downright chilly with a stiff breeze in mid-December, but the competition was heating up at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, which hosted 2023's Rush Tech Skills Competition. Over the course of three days, the commercial vehicle dealer network's service technicians, body and paint technicians, and sales associates put their skills to the test, earning points for both accuracy and efficiency with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes on the line.

Meanwhile, Rush Enterprises hosted a bustling supplier trade show next door as well as classes for their technician's edification. With booths filled with new technology, tools, and supplies, plus a racecar simulator or two, the convention center was full of energy even before the awards dinner on Dec. 12, which saw competitors walk away with thousands of dollars in their pockets and Dallas technician David French crowned as the All-Around Rodeo Champion.
