The Automotive Lift Institute celebrated the 10th anniversary of its ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program and the formation of its Associate Class in Las Vegas on Oct. 30. During this time, the program has produced lift inspectors that have collectively carried out over 1.3 million inspections, ALI stated in a press release.

“I’m proud to have been part of the growth and success of the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program over the last 10 years,” said Gary Wainwright of Weco Inc., the Associate Class representative on ALI’s Board of Directors. “During that time, ALI Certified Lift Inspectors have conducted more than 1.3 million lift inspections and applied nearly 1 million program labels to lifts that passed. It’s a true testament to the inspectors in the field, ALI staff and the integrity of the program."
ALI first developed the Lift Inspector Certification Program as a resource for lift inspectors carrying out standardized lift inspection procedures and Check360 Certified Lift Inspections. Currently, there are 560 certified inspectors, with roughly as many undergoing the certification process, the organization stated. The program also expanded ALI’s membership by codifying that any North American organization with at least one ALI Certified Lift Inspector could join the group as an Associate Class Member.
As of today, ALI reports that it has over 300 Associate Class member companies, roughly 250 of which attended the anniversary celebration.
