Tan Delta Systems and Senzit partner on oil monitoring solution
Two global leaders in heavy-duty equipment monitoring, Tan Delta Systems and Senzit (a subsidiary of MANN+HUMMEL), have forged a strategic alliance that allows Senzit to market Tan Delta’s sensor technology as part of its predictive maintenance solution for filters and fluids. The partnership promises to “empower heavy-duty equipment businesses, fleet managers, and reseller partners with a best-in-class platform to increase uptime and reduce organizational waste,” according to a Tan Delta spokesperson.
The combined sensor technologies and monitoring software is also expected to provide specific data points on 80% of consumables in scope for Tier 1 and Tier 2 preventative maintenance cycles, the company added.
Tan Delta’s FSH (Full Spectrum Holistic) technology was designed to analyze oil down to the molecular level to detect minute changes created by contamination, wear, and internal issues. This level of insight helps fleets optimize oil change intervals and avoid unplanned maintenance. According to the company, Tan Delta’s sensor technology has reduced oil usage by 30-50% across a wide swath of industries, reducing unplanned maintenance and helping companies hit emissions targets.
The Senzit platform uses condition-based logic and machine learning algorithms to deliver real-time machine data and actionable insights, such as oil health and remaining air filter life, accessible via a dashboard. This allows technicians and managers to have 24/7 visibility and to take action when an issue arises.
Tan Delta CEO Chris Greenwood noted the two companies share “a terrific synergy,” and that “there is no other comparable solution on the market, giving Senzit and Tan Delta customers a clear advantage.”
