NEXIQ Technologies released their second generation mobile vehicle interface Blue-Link 2, which features improved connectivity with smartphones and tablets.
“Our second generation Blue-Link provides easier connectivity to iOS, has greater throughput than our previous version, and is more powerful in supporting the development of iOS and Android solutions for communicating with vehicles,” said Dave Shock, NEXIQ Technologies product manager. “Additionally, this advanced mobile vehicle interface supports CAN FD protocol and includes Wi-Fi connection capability.”
The pocket-sized, wireless device was developed to use on mobile devices, iOS and Android, with its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection capabilities. Blue-Link 2 enables users to seamlessly communicate with heavy-duty vehicles for quick access to basic diagnostic information.

When used with the First-Link app, it becomes a triage tool for truck drivers on the road or service writers checking in vehicles at a repair facility.
