The Humboldt Specialty Manufacturing Kool Shield is a system that solves the problem of temperature loss and humidity spikes during deliveries and the wait to be unloaded at consignees. This solution prevents temperature-based food damage claims, unnecessary fuel consumption, and reduces wear and tear on refrigeration equipment. Kool Shield’s retractable design forms a barrier with seals around the top and sides of the box. This barrier occurs because of Kool Shield’s lineal-stay design that forces a tight fit with the side seals as refrigeration units blow air flow against it. Lock brackets, on the bottom of either side of the box, secure the extended Kool Shield until it is popped free. Then the Kool Shield retracts out of the way.
