The Endurant HD V transmission from Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologiesis designed for vocational truck applications with maximum gross combination weight ratings of 70,000 lbs. using 9L, 11L, and Cummins X10” engines. The transmission has an extreme duty clutch for low-speed maneuvering, a rock-free feature, an off-highway mode that tunes the transmission based on changing soil conditions, and dual power takeoff (PTO) openings for hydraulic systems. The HD V also has a start-aid feature for hills and a secondary configuration mode to allow drivers to toggle between two performance goals.
