Ford F-150 Lightning models’ loss of steering from front control arm separation
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2023-2024 F-150 Lightning BEV vehicles. The front upper control arm ball joint nut may not have been tightened properly, allowing the front upper control arm to detach from the knuckle assembly. A detached control arm can cause a loss of vehicle steering and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 11,922 models. Dealers will inspect the upper control arm ball joint nut, and replace the nut and/or knuckle assembly, as necessary. Freightliner models’ unexpected engine shutdown
Daimler Truck North America is recalling certain 2015-2020 Freightliner Business Class M2 emergency vehicles equipped with certain Cummins diesel engines. The engine protection and inducement software may cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly. An unexpected engine shutdown can delay emergency responders and increase the risk of injury.
This recall potentially affects 139 vehicles. Cummins will update the electronic control module software and install a corrected data plate. Great Dane Champion trailer models’ missing kingpin welds may allow trailer separation
Great Dane Trailers is recalling certain 2025 Champion Dry Freight trailers. Missing kingpin welds may prevent the upper coupler from securely connecting the trailer. An insecure connect may allow the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 225 vehicles. Great Dane will inspect and replace the upper couplers as necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2024. Owners may contact Great Dane customer service at 877-369-3493.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models’ instrument clutter display too bright
Daimler Vans USA is recalling certain 2019-2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles. The instrument cluster illumination may not be adjustable and appear too bright in certain lighting conditions. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays." A display that is too bright can make it difficult for the driver to see critical safety information, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 697 vehicles. Dealers will update the instrument cluster software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 7. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 877-762-8267. DVUSA's number for this recall is VS3BELKOM.
Ram 1500 models’ inoperative headlights
Chrysler is recalling certain 2025 Ram 1500 pickup trucks. Incorrect headlight module software may cause the headlights to become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Inoperative headlights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 53 vehicles. Dealers will update the headlight module software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 21. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D4B.
Tesla models’ TPMS light may not remain illuminated
Tesla is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system warning light may not remain illuminated between drive cycles, failing to warn the driver of low tire pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems." Driving with improperly inflated tires increases the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 694,304 vehicles. Tesla released an over-the-air software update. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 15. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 877-798-3752. Tesla's number for this recall is SB-24-00-018.
