Noregon Systems has released JPRO Professional 2022 v2, the second major update of the year for their in-shop diagnostic and troubleshooting tool. New purchases include the latest version and existing subscribers can update at no additional cost via the software or the company’s website.
“For this release, we focused on giving technicians resources for processes that require a lot of manual checkpoints, such as visual inspections and trailer diagnostics,” said Jason Hedman, Product Manager at Noregon.
JPRO’s visual inspection report has been updated to include vehicle components, key data points, vehicle issues, and faults. Users can customize the report and use it to ensure they document issues that diagnostic tools cannot detect, such as tread wear or body damage. The reports can be generated from a live connection or a previous connection via a logfile.
A large part of trailer service involves the brake systems. To assist technicians, Noregon added nearly twenty new bidirectional for Bendix trailer brakes. Using tests like installation configuration and pressure sensor commands, technicians can verify that the trailer ABS system is functioning properly before releasing the vehicle.
“As diesel prices and other expenses rise, fleets begin to utilize more medium-duty vehicles. To support these fleets, we’ve enhanced our support and added bidirectional tests for many medium-duty truck models,” said Hedman. “As always, we listen to user feedback and work with our customers to make sure they have the tests and coverage necessary to diagnose every vehicle that enters their shop.”
